Our military contractors make a sht-ton on all our wars. That is why we are constantly at war, constantly "over-extended".

The real power in this country (based to a point on Wall St) freaked the fck out when Poppy Bush commented on all that good that could be done w/ the "peace dividend" resulting from the end of the cold war. THAT (in addition to Poppy's inability to get NAFTA passed) led these powers to support the good ol boy from Hope, Arkansas. That peace dividend they saw as their money and they were not about to give it up to some "good that could be done domestically).

If donnie trump tries to pull back on that sweet gravy train of cash these folks enjoy, he won't be around long either.
