The program was losing support toward the end of the Mike Anderson era. He had started looking elsewhere and quit recruiting. Then left for Arkansas. Hardly anybody was excited about the Haith hire but fan support was partly saved by the players press conference. But after that year Haith got progressively worse and so did the fan support.
Sure the team was great in 11-12. But the program was trending down prior to that year and continued after the season.
