And this even goes back to staff positions at UMPD where a leading Sgt worked her way to her position by sleeping with the boss....and then doing what she could to keep other women in line who were a threat to her. One was a damned fine investigator who could sweat a confession out of a block of ice but there was no way in hell she would ever get ahead with this Sgt ahead of her.
