The big differences between the two right now:
*Odom is a first-year head coach who took over a bad SEC team and doesn't have a good record to sell vs. Fleck is selling great results at a mid-major while also having a Big 10 name to sell. If Odom had come off a 10-win season at Mizzou, we'd see different results.
*Odom is not much of a self-promoter. That helps with recruiting. Guys like Fleck with their cute catch phrases will stand out in a recruit's mind. Odom's kind of charisma doesn't translate as well to social media.
*Fleck is an offensive coach. IMO it seems easier for a young offensive-minded head coach to make waves. It's flashier.
