origin on how they behave is because they grew up in a society that told them that they were very special (like snowflakes) and that each one of them had a special important purpose in the world.

That narrative continued as they were coddled through college with their safe spaces and trigger warnings.

When they graduated, they realized all the colleges did was pat them on the head, calling them special all the while leaving them deep in student loan debt.

Then and only then they realize that the world is a cold dark place that doesn't care that they're special. That's where their anger, fear, and irrationality come from.
