trillion dollar impact would require massive cuts of very popular programs.

Not just stuff like NEA & NEH. This report from the hill has no details. The total proposed cuts is around 6 billion a year. Where did they pull out the 10.5 trillion number? Thin air?

I'll wait for that to come out before I'm sold. Much like anything DJT is proposing.
