But you raise a good point. What exactly are the expectations for Pingeton, and the women's BB team?
I think Pingeton is a good coach. Not a very good coach. Not a great coach. Just good. Adequate. We could do better. But do we want to at Mizzou?
She runs a clean program, apparently. Doesn't do anything to embarrass the university. Seems to recruit good kids. Her teams here have shown slow, incremental improvements. But she has never finished higher than a tie for 7th place in any season. And will finish this year probably around the same in the SEC. Is this her ceiling? Win 18-20 games a year? Never finish in the top 5 even in the SEC? NIT most years, once in awhile barely make the NCAA tourney and have an early exit? Is that what Sterk aspires to for this program? If so, she will coach here for 20 years.
