simply won the birth lottery. Rick Perry doesn't even know what the Department of Energy does, or at least he didn't when he accepted the nomination. DeVos is rich, but other than that, has absolutely no qualifications for her position. Pruitt sued the EPA, now wants to lead it. Tillerson and Puzder are way out of their depth. Carson as HUD secretary? Really? I'm surprised Palin wasn't nominated for State. That's certainly no stranger than many of Trump's picks.
No, Trump hasn't hit it out of the park with really any of his picks. Haley, Perdue, and Mattis are probably the best choices, and the rest are questionable at best. Most of his picks are simply payoffs to supporters without much thought to qualifications.
