that Missouri "was a very tough school academically" meaning there were few easy roads for the athletes. He gave it as one reason for the state of the program.
That was during the period where Kiesler and George Russell were obsessed with "public ivy" and set about making every major outside of Agriculture, very very difficult.
So I'm sure that factored into the Chamberlain situation.
