We switched over to the SE and it somewhat hurt us.
We have had a lot of kids from the South get in trouble.
Holifield, Lee, Brady, etc..
After a 5-7 season in 12' the 13' class has been hurting us.
Of course there are other variables than winning, but it definitely helps. Look at Baylor, Clemson, and now Washington. If we win, Barry will be able to pitch that to higher rated commits. I understand your argument that it didn't work out that well for Pinkel, but that is untrue. Without winning we wouldn't of been able to get some highly rated guys like Beckner and other 4 stars over the years.
Our teams haven't been that great recently because imo I don't think Pinkel balanced out the positions of need properly.
Time will tell, but I like how Barry's classes are looking. If we have at least 8 wins next season you will see at least 4-5 four stars.
According to the talent in Missouri in 18', it could be much better than that.
