Getting recruited by a national brand or a presumed blue blood school gives a player a certain status, as well as certain high maintenance high school coaches and jock sniffers. That's as much as the battle inst Louis as anything, send players to Mizzou? Boring! Send players to national school x?,look at what a awesome high school program you could transfer to provided there wouldn't be any evidence of recruiting you.
