They left a lot of points on the board. Had 16 possessions and scored 4 TDs, one on a busted coverage by Clemson (Howard's 68 yd catch).
1st down at Clemson 35, no points. 1st down at Clemson 45, no points. 1st down at Clemson 16, settled for a FG. No way this game should have come down to the last seconds of the 4th quarter.
In the 1st half, 6 of 8 drives went -7, 0, 2, 12, 19, and 22 yards. In the 2nd half it was even worse, 6 of 8 drives went 0, 1, 3, 6, 7, and 7 yards. That's awful ball possession.
Up 14-0, up 24-14, all game they had multiple opportunities to put the game out of reach so it wouldn't have come down to the last play, and they kept going 3 and out over and over and over, just couldn't sustain drives and move the sticks.
Only ran 66 offensive plays to 99 by Clemson because they couldn't sustain drives. 75% of their offensive possessions sucked. No their offense wasn't fine.
But my point wasn't a dig at Sark. It was a dig at what an arrogant a-hole Saban is in general and how miserable he treats other people including Kiffin.
I guarantee Kiffin hurts for the kids but didn't shed a tear over Saban being denied another NC.
