I find that at odds with the rural whites who hold the White Christian God as their King.

Seems to me it is easy for folks to cast blame on others for their challenges. When Don blames Mexicans for taking "their" jobs, people respond favorably. That is easy. In fact, it is technology that has replaced many mft workers. It is easier to blame Mexicans, especially if they are "illegals", than it is to face the fact that the world has changed and the old ways ain't coming back.
