still another episode in blaming someone else for Bush's many errors.
The crisis was the result of lenders not caring who they lended to because they were breaking up the loans into pieces and selling them off, and all the while they were raking in the loan origination fees. And no, Clinton didn't mandate that the industry loan to everyone. That's a canard.
