"phished" is when you get sent a fake email, or phone call, asking for your username, password. Hacked implies you were not at fault, it was beyond your control.
Hollywood loves to show us the weird, super smart hacker. Most of the time, like Podesta's, it's just people being stupid.
Podesta got sent something made to look like google asking for his username, password. and he fell for it.
The release of the data showed the true criminal nature of the democratic party.
