" these days is plain, simple bigotry (meaning bias against/disdain for/disagreement with someone based on a category they are in), ignorance, immaturity and downright lack of anything more creative to use.
Accusing someone of racism based on their being a bigot, ignorant, immature or stupid is lazy. It is presuming to know the mind of another.
It's no more accurate than presuming I think thin humans are inherently better than heavy humans because I called someone a fatty.
But, it's a weapon of the equally ignorant and has become universally accepted, so knock yourself out if you want to walk around and presume you know what's in everyone's heart and mind based on their stupid words.
