Capel basically got the VCU mid major powerhouse started in his late 20s. He was 31 years old when he took over at OU. I think he allowed the off court issues to derail himself at OU. There is a big difference between coaching a mid major and a high level program.

Spending some time on Coach K's bench has probably helped. I think Capel is a good candidate to rebound and still become a great coach somewhere. He is only 41 now.
