San Diego's fanbase is weak

Oakland can't get funding for a stadium, and they likely need two in short order.
San Diego's got a decent shot, but they keep on fumbling the ball. There was a Qualcomm replacement plan like a decade ago that the Chargers didn't really want because they wanted to be in downtown San Diego. Add in the California voting laws and it makes it tough. I think they'll go to LA with a five year out clause and try to get back to SD.
Oakland is going to lose a team unless they can figure out how to make a dual purpose stadium work in the 21st century. The Colisseum isn't going to work for much longer for the A's or the Raiders, they've really got no chance to provide much funding from the city/county, and both teams are kind of bottom feeders ownership-wise.
Oakland's stadium situation is going to pressure MLB to allow the A's to move to San Jose sometime soon if they don't get a place.
The way I see it is the Raiders have a nationwide fanbase and can kind of survive in Vegas where they've got a pretty much free stadium. The A's stay in Oakland if the Raiders leave. The A's move to Santa Clara County if the Raiders stay.
Oakland's likely going to get ****ed one way or the other, might as well pull the bandaid off now.
Plus, if the Chargers decide to stick it out at Qualcomm and hope for a SD solution, the Raiders likely announce a move to LA the next day. We'll find out what the Chargers do next month.
The NFL can play PR as much as they want, Qualcomm is pretty rough and (I haven't been there) but apparently Oakland Coliseum is as bad or worse.
