bridge the gap between the races.

As eloquent and charismatic as his is, he had a wonderful and never seen before opportunity to unite the country. Even with all the other terrible things he did.

But his goal was in fact to divide. He did not want to unite us. Divide and conquer.

And you're correct, it is the blacks that he hurt, most. But that's ok, because he is pointing the finger at whites. Institutional racism. Systemic racism. Blacks are victims. That is the message.
