per one of those alleged auto mechanic experts on the radio.

He claimed that when they idle like that there's a build up of unburned fuel left in the cylinder & there's a tendency for some of it to get by the rings and into the oil damaging its lubricating efficiency.

He recommended starting the vehicle and then proceeding, but going easy on the acceleration for a little bit until the oil fully coats the cylinder walls etc.
