they didn't make Hillary an unlikable candidate well known to the electorate for decades. They didn't make her virtually ignore Wisconsin and Michigan because she thought she simply owned those, electorally.
Trump's campaign knew she had a low ceiling because of her public record. Your disdain for her while being generally a Democratic voter (given 2 choices) is far from unusual.
Although Trump can clown it up and some of the things he does rightfully (also) makes people cringe, he didn't prove to be as unlikable as Hillary and I'm hopeful he can grow into the job (as I hoped Barry would, and was disappointed).
