on January 20th, but it is also quite clear that there is a big push by a lot of people to try and stop that from happening.
That is certainly fodder for discussion on a political board, no?
I think this type of thing is also an attempt to at least weaken Trump's public support, to distract him and his team and to try and disrupt his transition as much as they can. That too is fodder for discussion on a political board in my opinion.
We have Congressmen and Senators who are apparently pushing for electors to become "faithless electors", as well as a Nobel laureate economist and a former CIA operative doing so as well. We also have multiple federal agencies calling for an investigation into any potential Russian involvement in deliberately influencing the election, and a Republican Senator apparently has joined them. The CIA has accused Russia of being involved and have briefed Senators:

“It is the assessment of the intelligence community that Russia’s goal here was to favor one candidate over the other, to help Trump get elected,” said a senior U.S. official briefed on an intelligence presentation made to U.S. senators. “That’s the consensus view.”
Even before all of this we had a gentleman write an Op Ed for the NYTimes saying that he would not vote for Trump and that others were being lobbied to do so as well and some likely would.
Per some stories electors were being pressured to change their votes and if I recall some potentially felt harassed or even threatened.
Of course, it would be unprecedented if the election was flipped, and it would be very difficult to do barring some major event especially in light of Trump's significant win margin.
But Trump also had an unprecedented numbers of voters who viewed him unfavorably, more than 50%, and there is an unprecedented push to get the electors to flip. Here's one website dedicated to doing so:

37 faithless electors would be needed to change the election results and prevent Trump from becoming president and that's extremely unlikely given that there is only 1 week to go before they vote to elect the next president.
But it is unprecedented, and certainly newsworthy that 10 electoral voters so far have asked to be briefed on the CIA findings, a little more than 27% of the 37 needed to stop Trump.
I find that worthy of discussion, but you don't?
