seriously contemplating ending Thursday Night Football for nothing.
They are also looking at expansion (hello, STL - 1st on their list for US cities) to offset what is looking to be an disappointingly eye opening Media Rights negotiation coming up.
They are concerned & shocked at LA's ho hum contribution, where there were much higher TV raging late last year & years before when there was no team there & now they have to show one less game there per week. Most agree it should have been the Raiders.
In the meantime, they currently have lost a top 20 Media Market in St. Louis, which is growing & booming, while they are also about to lose San Diego, which is smaller, but has been a great football market & Oakland, also smaller, but the same as far as great football market & fandom. All to get 2 unnoticed teams in LA.
Also, assuming the Raiders do go to Vegas, a 40ish Media Market, a good deal smaller than STL & Oak, they will be sabatoging & cannabalizing the LA market to a large degree, as many, many fans will simply travel to Vegas for their Raider fix.
They really should have listened to their Relocation Committee, who studied everything extensively & wholly supported the Rams making it work in STL & Oak/SD to Carson!
