this doesn't include shootings where death did not occur. it's almost impossible to find stats on police being shot at, but not killed. for instance, i was shot at or at least near (not sure of the idiot's intention) last week. didn't make the news at all. it is what it is.

so they are on the rise. i don't think it's historically just crazy out of proportion but it's kind of like crime in general. people keep saying it's down still historically; which it is, but they are ignoring the fact that it's rising.
