1. Your way where making a bowl is an actual accomplishment and really means something. Use the playoff rankings to determine bowl eligibility. Take the top 40 and conference champions. If there are 3 conference champions outside of the top 40, take them and the top 37. Play 18 bowl games in addition to the playoff.

2. Simply create enough bowls for every FBS team to play in one. Because we're basically there anyway.
