because the coaching is so poor in terms of preparation and offensive design, and none of them are really in roles that would correspond to where they should be at this point in their development. But I think even assuming adequate coaching and reasonable growth we simply don't have anything close to an SEC caliber roster. Its not good that rather than development we seem to have seen regression again from the sophomore class, which is now an annual theme.
If we can make a good hire this offseason, everyone stays together, and there is some better individual improvement and structure in place going forward I could see this team finishing around 8th or 9th in the SEC down the road. I think there are a few pieces that a new staff could leverage in a rebuild type of scenario though if we are able to retain them through the coaching transition.
