This isn't high school basketball. The opponent will alter the zone every possession at this level. Players have to be able to perceive what is going on and make the adjustment. They came out with the right play to break the zone in the 2nd half, and executed it successfully one time, unsuccessfully 3 other times.
There could very well be coaching problems, both in-game and generally in managing the team. But you can't watch a game and discern that coaching is the problem with vague notions of "putting the players in a position to succeed." You could be right, but that would just be a lucky guess. Fans don't have enough info watching a game to make any informed conclusions about coaching.
