ethics or anything resembling logic or consistency.
Libs will support and cheer an action by libs or minorities or enemies of the united states that are counter productive to our best interests.
If a conservative did the exact same thing, cows would be had.
When obama ignores the constitution, congress and the separation of powers, he is bold and decisive. Willing to go against obstructionists to do what is in the "best" interests of the united states.
If trump accepts a phone call from a friendly nation, he has gone against the advice (not the obstruction) of the state department, he has spit in the eye (not sent a message about working for america's best interests) of the communist government of china.
Being a lib is easy. Ethics are situational, american interests are negotiable and hypocrisy is optional.
