Humans started with basically nothing. It is only through production, saving, investment, and more production that humans have elevated themselves from the starting point of nothingness.
What government does, is that it inserts itself at a late stage in that process, it claims title over a large portion of the pre-existing production and then starts wielding power over it. It does not add to the productive process, if anything, it detracts from it.
This goes for health care too.
