He is only shooting 32% from 3, which honestly seems high to me probably because he almost always misses the ones we need him to make. Phillips is shooting 41% as a comparison. The coaches may see CVL performing as a much better shooter in practice than we are seeing in games. If he were shooting 41%, I don't think many would have problems with his minutes. He also has the second most assists on the team.

When Barnett comes onboard, there's a real question as to whether Hughes or CVL should be the predominant SG. Obviously Hughes' potential blows CVL out of the water, but if Hughes is wasting possessions with missed shots, while CVL is using possessions to help Barnett, Puryear or Nikko score, CVL may still be the best option at this point.
