for companies to get tax incentives isn't a precedent.
State, county, local governments have been offering tax incentives to companies since before you were born to prevent companies from moving or to entice a company to move to their state or to "bid" against other states for the company to locate there.
Why is it when a governor competes with Mexico to retain a factory it is different and "picking a winner" and "welfare" and "a precedent"?
