Link? I don't have a study - I don't know an actual farmer that doesn't receive some form of subsidy - like GAT said, everyone wants govt out of it, but farming is a unique industry (a farmer can't independently price his product like a large scale manufacturer can.)
If the your number says 62%, is that individuals that rely on farming for a living, or does it include "hobby farms" - the "horse farmer" with 20 acres?
