been a tremendous benefit to society as a whole, though you must admit that the benefits have been very disproportionately shared among the earth's citizens.

Millions, perhaps billions of earth's residents struggle for survival. Many starve or die from lack of a clean water supply, while others suffer terribly due to lack of adequate supplies of good food and clean water.

Of course, in the US, starvation is almost unheard of and even the poor usually have access to things kings in centuries past couldn't even have dreamed of. They have electricity that allows them to flip a switch and light up a room, or power a refrigerator & freezer that keeps their food from spoiling. They have a place to live that keeps the rain, sleet and snow from soaking them or freezing them to death, especially since those homes have solid walls that keep the winds, insects and wild animals from harming them. In fact, they usually even have a thermostatically controlled environment with air conditioning or a heating system to keep their home at the temperature they select. A humidifier &/or dehumidifier that can raise or lower humidity in their home to levels they desire is also within the capacity of most to purchase.

Even the greatest kings could not have been able to pick up a phone and call someone on the other side of their street, or on the other side of their kingdom, much less on the other side of the world.

And yet we have homeless people sleeping on sidewalks even in the bitterest winter weather, even as billionaires abound who can fly private jets to anywhere on earth to spend a few hours... or months, or whatever. Some have more wealth than entire nations.

Per that video, and it makes sense to me, we are still in the early stages of this paradigmatic shift. This shifting of wealth and power will likely continue and even to accelerate. Eventually a relative handful of people will control most of the world's resources... and power.

The vast majority of mankind would not be needed to satisfy their every need and want. In fact, the vast majority of mankind would be "useless eaters" from their perspective.

Would they be likely to be loving and kind in sharing their resources with these other people or would they be more inclined to try and get rid of them by whatever means are available to them?

If one or more of those elite is a psychopath and has the power to eliminate a lot of these people who might be considered competitors for the world's resources, or a danger to the world ecosystem might they go off on a genocidal rampage?

It certainly seems like a possibility to me.
