What do most of these states have in common?

You got it. All but one (Kentucky) is controlled by the Democrats. In fact, of the bottom 10, I believe all but Kentucky is controlled by Democrats. So it's little wonder why our country's economy and national debt are in such terrible shape. Democrats only know how to do two things: spend money we don't have and re-distribute wealth in order to buy votes.
