is on the ropes. Can they survive?
They were soundly beaten, can they recover? Is this the end of the party? Can a new party emerge? Is the leadership adequate to re ignite the party?
Of course this deep analysis and introspection are much more common and much louder when the Rs lose, but somehow both parties survive.
