chose to do something he/she knew was wrong, if this account is accurate, and now wants others to bear the blame. Sorry. You should have said no, and let the chips fall. You're no hero, and you don't get a pass. You are clearly complicit in these things. At the first sign of trouble, that was the time to contact the compliance office and the general counsel's office.
