s, publishers, editors and writers aligning with a political party and changing the press from an objective reporting (journalistic) entity to a poorly disguised global platform for advancing that party's agenda.
They don't have secret meetings and plan on a massive conspiratorial level.
they are largely ignorant of the slow yet constant devolution of their entire industry because it has happened over generations, with a rapid late increase in pace caused by the bloom of media outlets and the immediacy of the information cycle.
I believe most are utterly indignant at the idea they are biased - they don't have any idea they are OR they truly think this is what the "press" should be doing - telling readers how to interpret the world, rather than sharing the world objectively and letting readers evaluate.
