The SMSD is exactly correct the pins are a direct protest of the Trump election and therefore a political, not social statement.
As someone who has worked in education for most of three decades now I get tired of the liberal teachers thinking it is their job to indoctrinate kids instead of simply teaching them the skills they need to think for themselves.
If you want to make political statements feel free to do so on your own time. When you are with the students is not the correct time for political or religious statements of any kind.
