I think 'hate crimes' should have never been on the books in

the first place. But if you are going to make hate a mitigating factor then it should be applied across the board.
Assassinating Cops - Without a doubt a hate crime. Targeting a perfect stranger for the simple fact that they are a cop, can anyone argue that this is not a hate crime?
Knockout - I have only seen a few snippets of this but everyone I have seen is blacks targeting whites. If targets are simply picked at random due to color then that sounds like a hate crime to me.
Voter - Much harder to prove. How do you know who someone voted for unless they tell you?
My suggestion would to be to do away with hate crimes and simply judge the actions. You can never prove what is in someone's heart. You can prove what their actions were.
