Ala A&M A - Solid effort and it really didn't seem to matter who was in until the last few minutes of the game, when 3 walkons were on.
Xavier A- - Came in as heavy underdogs, had the lead for a significant period of time, but couldn't get that last point to put it away. The last 20 seconds were awful. Either there was a poor choice on the play to run or a disregard for the plan; followed by an unthinkable foul at that stage of the game. No fouling surely had to be discussed. Frustrating loss. Showed significant improvement, but failed to deliver.
Davidson D+ - Almost the entire team played like it had a hangover. They were a step slow all game long, and lacked focus. They managed to keep the deficit from reaching 20, and cut the lead to single digits, but couldn't sustain momentum, making awful plays on a regular basis.
Tulane B+ - The first half was dreadful, but that must have been a really good half time speech. If you look at Tulane's previous games, they are not horrible, even though they have a 1-4 record. (Not horrible does not equal good. Kenpom has them at 220, aproximately 60-65% of all D1 teams currently.) They've played

and Mizzou. Coach A got the team's attention and they vastly improved their play in the 2nd half to get the win. It was a 15 point turnaround from the 1st half to the 2nd.
