It may have even been linked from here. They boiled everything down (at least for me) to a simple comparison, which follows:
In the past, immigrants came from elsewhere and their stomachs and hearts were in America. Today, immigrants come with their stomachs and leave their hearts in their home country.
In my experience, that really rings true for a lot (perhaps even most) cases.
