They don't want to, because they can't.
Socialists have said they support the second amendment. That is a lie.
They have to say things that seem honest...to stupid people. Like, there are no plans to confiscate your weapons. That is largely true.
But they have plans to quadruple the tax on gun purchases. They have plans to wildly increase the tax on ammunition. They have plans to allow suing manufacturers and sellers of weapons that are used illegally. They have plans to greatly restrict the use and purchase of firearms.
Longer waiting periods. Mandatory and expensive government sponsored training courses. Waiting periods to buy ammunition.
These are the, common sense gun restrictions, that socialists want to impose on us. They don't want to confiscate our weapons, just make it very expensive and impractical to ever use them.
Obama will not close Guantanamo Bay. But he will take all the prisoners out of it. It's what socialists do.
Stupid people trust them.
