I live on the Missouri-kansas stateline and have lived in both states. Most of the people I have ever known are residents of these two states.

Yet I never perceived that the rivalry was particularly bitter nor unusually intense until I joined this board. I guess it depends on what part of the state you reside in.

The #1 eye-opening thing to me when I joined Tigerboard was how much of Mizzou fans' collective identity is based on a hatred of kU. They will never have that level of hate for anyone in the SEC no matter how hard they try.
