The narrative that Kim took over a team that was in dire straits is simply false. It was not a perfect situation, but he cratered the program much much more than he was simply dealt a bad hand and noone would have been successful in this situation.

We could have hired just about any coach (heck a professor in the biology department) and won more than 19 games in 2 years.
