Leaving Orlando with three losses would have been devastating.
The Mizzou team that controlled and dominated the second half today was the same team that showed up against Xavier. I don't think that's a total fluke. The first half was atrocious on the offensive end, but once we started emphasizing Puryear on the block and attacking with our guards, the whole flow of the offense started to improve. And although we're not perfect defensively, I do think we're much better, and we play noticeably hard and scrappy. The effort is absolutely there.
Tulane isn't great, obviously, but it's a program from a decent conference with a very good coach. We hit a wall in the first half and then figured out a way to win and avoid what could have been a bad loss. That's a sign of progress.
