When you cite the standard, you are not judging the person. You are simply noting the standard God has set. If it is a clear violation, it is a clear violation, and you judge it to be a clear violation, and make the individual aware that such conduct is a violation, and that there are consequences. Thus I have done.
This same thing applies in the work force, but with different penalties. If you show up in blue jeans to work at a bank you will be sent home and docked pay. If you show up in blue jeans for a watch in the military, there will be more severe consequences. You tell them the standards, and make sure they know it is unacceptable.
"But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ."
"Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”"
I know you are unlearned in this area, but you will come to understand in time. It may be too late to help you if you refuse to accept instruction, but when you are standing before God, being judged, you won't have a single objection to make.
