so a guy i know had a tree stand failure

last weekend ---fell 20 feet to the ground--messed himself up real good---three fractured ribs, fractured pelvis, and punctured lung---was lifeflighted from Iowa to Kansas City
he was lucky, his dad and kid were several hundred yards away in stands of their own, but he had his cell phone in his coat pocket an was able to call them
i know another guy who almost ended himself in a similar accident...guy was strong, young and fit, or he probab;y wouldnt be here today
