This vendor of ours has their Japanese engineers come to the US to better learn the market and they use it to brush up on their English.
Since many of their Japanese names are unpronounceable, their US counterparts give them English names once they get settled.
Ken showed up and they gave him a code-writing project that should have taken months. He went off to his area and had the entire code written by the next day. So they gave him another project thinking they'd wear him down--he came back with it written only a few days later.
They decided to call him "Kenny" from Southpark, because they couldn't kill him.
