I said before I think a long run in the NIT would be better

than a one and done in the NCAA tourney. I think it's premature to assume we go into the tourney and win. I like the prospects of that happening much more today than I did Saturday, but it's a long season, and you never know what is going to happen along the way.
Today, from a coach's point of view, the players can control the quality of the effort they put into the game. The good news is the trip to Italy is paying dividends already. But we haven't played back to back games, but neither has our opponent.
I like our chances to come away with a victory today. Do that, and move forward. There are going to be so many ups and downs, I'm not going to get too high or too low about any specific game.
I am going to have fun and enjoy the contests, and not feel the need to bash every little thing that isn't done perfectly. It's an imperfect game with imperfect competitors, and imperfect coaches, and imperfect refs, and imperfect calls.
Yesterday was great fun to watch, except the last few seconds of overtime. You tip your hat to the other guy, who made the key block at a critical time of the game and move on.
I'm going to enjoy today's game, and hope for a better finish. I'm not going to debate where the Tigers should be seeded in the tournament in November.
