Beginning his fourth year in college, JW3 is a known commodity. From the indications so far this season, he has the same strengths and weaknesses he had at Mizzou and doesn't appear to have made any notable improvement during his transfer season.
His competition for being a better player on the current Mizzou team is Puryear, who is beginning just his second season in college, meaning he has a lot more room for growth and it's still unclear how much progress he will make from his freshman to sophomore season.
Gill-Caesar still has room for growth, but the early indications in his third year in college are he's still a good athlete who can't seem to translate that into consistent basketball production.
We have no idea how good Hughes will be. He could turn out exactly like Gill-Caesar appears to be headed in year 3. But because Hughes is two full years of development behind Gill-Caesar, the potential for him being better, even this season, is there.
So you can't possibly know JW3 and Gill-Caesar would be our two best players and to say that is EASILY the case is absurd.
